From Sear to Sizzle, Try These 5 Grilling Recipes

Summer is better when you spend it outdoors, and grilling is the perfect complement to any beautiful day. Try one of these five recipes the next time you fire up your grill.

Steak Kabobs

Grilling season isn’t complete without steak on the menu. These steak kabobs will complete any perfect summer night!  

Ingredients:

For the marinade:

1/4 cup olive oil

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the kabobs:

1-1/2 pounds top sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

For the kabobs:

1 red bell pepper, seeded and cut in 1-inch pieces

1 yellow bell pepper, seeded and cut into 1-inch pieces

8 ounces button mushrooms

1 red onion, cut into 1-inch pieces

8 metal skewers

Grilled Fish Tacos

Fish can be cooked several different ways, but grilled is the way to go here. White fish works best for this recipe and goes great with white sauce and cabbage!

Ingredients:

1-pound lean white fish fillets (tilapia, halibut, mahi mahi, snapper, cod)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

2 tablespoons oil (vegetable or canola oil)

1 small lime, juiced

1 clove garlic, minced

1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne, optional

8 white corn tortillas

Fish taco sauce:

1/2 cup sour cream

1/3 cup mayonnaise

1 small lime, juiced

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon Sriracha hot sauce, or to taste

Toppings:

Pico de gallo

Cotija cheese

Shredded cabbage

Fresh cilantro

Avocado

Lime wedges

Red onion

Hot sauce (try Sriracha or Valentina)
